Caprese salad is a classic Italian dish that showcases the flavors of ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil.
Ingredients
- 8 Super Sweet 100 Tomatoes
- 8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
- 8 Fresh Basil Leaves
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Extra Virgin)
- 1 tbsp Balsamic glaze
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Slice larger tomatoes in half, 1/4-inch thick slices.
- Use mozzarella balls or slice fresh mozzarella into 1/4-inch thick slices.
- Arrange the tomato and mozzarella on a serving platter.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
- Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the salad.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the salad.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.

If you can’t find Super Sweet 100 tomatoes then Roma work well too. Â
