Mint Julep
A classic cocktail that is synonymous with the Kentucky Derby.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 ounces Bourbon
- 10 leaves fresh mint
- 1/2 ounces simple syrup
Instructions
- In a julep cup or glass, muddle the mint leaves.
- Add the simple syrup and continue to muddle lightly to combine the flavors.
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Pour the bourbon over the ice.
- Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
- Enjoy!
