If you are looking for the best pork carnitas recipe, this slow cooker version delivers fall-apart tender meat with irresistibly crispy edges. Made with simple ingredients like pork shoulder, citrus, garlic, and spices, these carnitas are perfect for tacos, burritos, bowls, and meal prep.
Traditional carnitas are slow-cooked until tender, then crisped for texture, and this easy method gives you the same authentic flavor with minimal effort.
Pork Carnitas
I love Mexican food and tacos are a great way to make entertaining easy. One of my favorite go-to recipes for a mid-large gathering. With minimal prep you can drop all ingredients in crockpot in the morning and have a hearty meal ready in time for dinner. Serve with corn or flour tortillas, fresh avocado, red chopped cabbage, lettuce, radishes and jalapenos for an easy meal.
