Pork Chops

Ingredients
- 4 center-cut pork chops about 1-inch thick
- 1 cup prepared stuffing (optional) our homemade recipe
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
Prepare the Pork Chops
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice a pocket into each pork chop by carefully cutting horizontally through the thickest part of the chop, being careful not to cut all the way through.
Stuff the Pork Chops (Optional)
- Season each pork chop with salt and pepper.
- Fill the pocket of each chop with about 1/4 cup of the stuffing, pressing it in gently.
Brown the Pork Chops
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Place the pork chops in the skillet and sear each side for 3-4 minutes, until browned.
Bake the Pork Chops
- Sprinkle thyme and sage over the chops and pour chicken broth into the skillet.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
Serve
- Remove the pork chops from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
